Sally and Ian live next door to each other, they grew up and shared life’s experiences together, but Ian soon has to learn to live without Sally after she is diagnosed with cancer.

Heaven sent Sally to be with me,
To set my mind free
she showed me them doves that will make you fly
those little sparkles that took us high

Down a path and round our way
where as kids we used to play
Now we drink and take what we think
can hide our tears away

Coming up dancing all over town
Her hand it never left mine
Into a bed in a cheap hotel
And all the world seemed right

Because I've seen the future
of a past that's been
Now I close my eyes
Just to dream
Just to dream

Now I hear the sun coming up
As the madness fades away
In and out of falling dreams
Takes me back to yesterday

When all the world seemed so right
What I said she said to me
To hold throughout my life
Now I close my eyes
Just to dream
Just to dream

Heaven took Sally away from me
Through a cancer at 23
I don't believe in the afterlife
But i know ill see her again

Because I've seen the future
Of a past that's been
And I close my eyes
Just to dream
Or so it seems
Yet nothing means
